تفريغ الحلمة
تفريغ الحلمة الإفرازات الدموية التلقائية أو الشفافة من ثدي واحد وقناة واحدة تشكل إفرازات الحلمة، والتي ينبغي التحقيق في سببها. في هذه الحالة، يجب استشارة الطبيب على الفور. إذا كان المريض أكثر من 35 سنة من العمر، يتم إجراء التصوير الشعاعي للثدي بالإضافة إلى التصوير بالموجات فوق الصوتية.
قد يجد الطبيب أيضا نتائج الفحص واختبارات التصوير مثل التصوير الشعاعي للثدي والتصوير بالموجات فوق الصوتية طبيعية. إذا لزم الأمر، يتم استخدام طرق تصوير إضافية مثل التصوير بالرنين المغناطيسي و/ أو Ductography.
في السنوات الأخيرة، يتم إدخال أداة مضاءة (ductoscopy) أرق من 1 مم من خلال القناة في الحلمة التي يأتي منها التفريغ، ويتم التحقيق في وجود آفة داخل القناة. في مثل هذه الإفرازات الحلمة، يتم الكشف عن الورم الحليمي داخل القناة، وهي آفة حميدة تزيد من خطر الإصابة بسرطان الثدي، في ثلثي الحالات، ويتم اكتشاف السرطان في المقام الثاني بمعدل 9-20 في المائة.
