علاج وذمة لمفية السائل اللمفاوي، الذي يتشكل نتيجة للأنشطة الخلوية في الجسم، يمر عبر الأوعية الليمفاوية والغدد الليمفاوية وينضم إلى الدورة الدموية بعد تنظيفها. يؤدي اضطراب هذه الدورة الدموية إلى تراكم السائل اللمفاوي وتضخم أجزاء معينة من الجسم، ومعظمها من الذراعين والساقين، وهذا ما يسمى “وذمة لمفية”. يمكن أن يحدث وذمة لمفية أيضا في الوجه والرقبة والبطن والرئتين.
