If you have health insurance, our billing office will bill your insurance carrier first. However, if your insurance plan does not cover a service or procedure, or does not cover the entire cost, you will be responsible for any fees not covered.

Payment Options
Payment is due within 30 days of billing. We accept personal checks and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover).
You can use any of the following options to pay your balance:
Online: Pay via our online payment portal.
Mail: Complete and return the payment coupon attached to your statement.
Phone: Call (automated payment system is available 24/7).
Types of Coverage
Medicare: If you’re covered by Medicare, we will submit your claims to Medicare on your behalf. After Medicare makes its payment, we’ll bill your supplemental or secondary insurance carrier for the balance. If you don’t have supplemental or secondary insurance, you will be responsible for the remaining balance.
Medi-Cal: If you’re covered under Medi-Cal, please provide an eligibility card or other proof of eligibility for your month of service. Medi-Cal eligibility is determined on a month-to-month basis.
Self-pay Patients: If you don’t have health insurance or are seeking care that is not covered by your insurance plan, you’re considered a self-pay patient. All self-pay patients at Acıbadem are eligible for a discount. For more information about our discount policy, please call our Financial Counseling office.

Before scheduling your appointment, we require your medical records, including doctor’s notes, radiology images, pathology reports, surgical reports, and lab results. If your records are not in English, they must be professionally translated before submission.

Step 3: Medical records review
Our medical team will review your records to determine if Acıbadem offers treatments that may benefit you.
Step 4: Financial clearance
Once accepted for care at Acıbadem, you will receive an estimate of charges. Payment must be made in full or verified by an insurance plan accepted by Acıbadem Health Group before receiving care. Please note that U.S. medical care may incur significant costs.
Step 5: Appointment scheduling
Upon receipt of payment, we will confirm your appointment or hospital stay. Please note that appointments cannot be scheduled without advance payment.
