Joint Commission International Accreditation
Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation is the most internationally recognized assessment model. It conducts independent assessment audits to determine whether health organizations meet a set of standard requirements designed to improve the quality of care. Today, it has accredited more than 1000 healthcare organizations in over 70 countries. Under the heading of patient-focused standards, JCI standards address international patient safety goals, access to care and continuity of care, patient-centered care, assessment of patients, care of patients, anesthesia and surgical care, management and use of medicines. Healthcare organization management standards address quality improvement and patient safety, infection prevention and control, governance, leadership and direction, facility management and safety, employee qualifications and training, and information management.

Ministry of Health Health Quality Standards Assessments
Acıbadem Healthcare Group does not distinguish healthcare institutions as public, private or university; it provides services in line with the Quality Standards in Health (SKS), which was established to ensure closeness in service standardization, to prepare the ground for sharing experiences between institutions and to establish a national quality system in healthcare.
Laboratory Accreditation and Certifications
Acıbadem Labmed Medical Laboratory was accredited by DACH (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle Chemie) according to ISO 15189 standard effective from October 20, 2005 and became the first medical laboratory in Turkey with ISO 15189 accreditation. Effective from 19/10/2010, it was re-accredited by TÜRKAK according to TS EN ISO 15189 standard and became the first medical laboratory in Turkey to be accredited by TÜRKAK according to TS EN ISO 15189 standard. Acıbadem Labmed Medical Laboratory was re-accredited by TÜRKAK in 2014 according to TS EN ISO 15189 standard and became the first medical laboratory in Turkey to be accredited by TÜRKAK with flexible scope according to TS EN ISO 15189 standard effective from January 10, 2017. In January 2019, it was re-accredited and became the first medical laboratory in Turkey to continue its 4th accreditation cycle according to TS EN ISO 15189 standard.
Since TÜRKAK is a party to the multilateral (MRA-Mutual Recognition Agreements) agreement of ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation), the accreditation of laboratories has become recognized in all member countries of ILAC.
Acıbadem Labgen Genetic Diagnosis Center has been accredited by TÜRKAK according to TS EN ISO 15189 standard effective from January 10, 2017.
Acıbadem Labvital Private Food Control Laboratory has been accredited by TÜRKAK according to TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard effective from September 11, 2013.
Acıbadem Labmed Ankara Tissue Typing Laboratory was accredited by ASHI (American Society for Histocompability and Immunogenetics) as of 09.01.2015, becoming the first tissue typing laboratory in Turkey to be accredited by ASHI.
ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification
Acıbadem Mobil Sağlık Hizmetleri A.Ş. holds ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certificate as of March 6, 2018 and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certificate as of March 7, 2018.
Aplus Hastane Otelcilik Hizmetleri A.Ş. first completed the establishment of a quality management system in 2007 in order to ensure standardization in production and operation processes in food and beverage and textile washing services, to understand and manage interrelated processes within a system, and was awarded the ISO 9001 Quality Management System certificate by international accreditation institutions. Cleaning services were accredited in 2011. On April 21, 2017, it completed the 2015 version of the standard and ensured the continuity of its documents.
In order to achieve quality targets and ensure the continuity and development of the quality management system, full participation of personnel, legal requirements, customer satisfaction, occupational health and safety, sectoral/technological developments, and continuous improvement principles have been taken into consideration.
With the implementation of Quality Management Systems, it is aimed to increase the efficiency of the institution’s resources and the effectiveness of its services in all areas, and in this direction, to reach a safe, healthy, continuously improving, pioneering service structure in its sector, and to “make a difference to improve the quality of life” for both institutions and employees in all areas it serves.
ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System Certification
In Food & Beverage services, ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System has been established and accredited to ensure food safety in all processes from production to final consumption. In this context, each product is kept under surveillance by critical control points according to its product group and risk factor, starting from the goods acceptance stage until it reaches the final consumer.
Staff quality is raised through continuous training, and awareness and sustainability are kept alive through daily, weekly, monthly and annual audits of different depths.
ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management System Certificate
Acıbadem Technology has ISO 27001 Information Security Management System Certificate valid as of August 29, 2016.
RAL-GZ 992 Certification
The laundry washed and packaged at the APlus Laundry Factory is delivered untouched from the factory to the relevant location and hospital. Each stage of the transfer process, which takes place with the principle of transporting clean and dirty textiles separately, is monitored and reported with the vehicle tracking system. The processes carried out with a fully automated system are standardized by RAL – GZ 992 Professional Fabric Care Quality and Test Specifications. APlus’ management systems are certified by accredited certification bodies and laundry standards are certified by the international Frschungsinstitut Hohenstein Institute. RAL- GZ 992 Professional Fabric Care Quality and Test Specifications are applied. As a first in Turkey, textiles are washed with a bag system and ironed and folded and packaged with a full automation system.
